Audeze Introduce Limited Edition LCD-24 Flagship Headphones

There’s way back at Audeze LLC, especially in the form of the company’s foundations. Sankar Thiagasamudram and Alexander Rosson, Audeze’s founders, connected with Pete Uka and Dragoslav “Dr.C” Colich aorund 2008 and the rest, as they say, is history.

The LCD-1 was born soon after, followed by the LCD-2, LCD-3, LCD-X, etc. And today, Audeze announce a new ubër-limited edition, made-to-order flagship-level model dubbed the LCD-24. The $3,499 USD open back, over-ear planar-magnetic ships with a hard travel case and Audeze premium silver-plated copper LCD series cable. Sensitivity is a rated 96dB, with a 15-Ohm impedance and a frequency response of 5Hz~50kHz.

Described by the company as a “pet project” of Colich’s, the LCD-24 features a staggered Fluxor magnetic-structure and 0.5 micron Nano-scale diaphragms to deliver “…lightning-fast transient response [and] a robust and refined sound featuring the vibrant midrange, powerful bass, and treble extension iconic to Audeze's Flagship headphones.” The LCD-24 is designed to be paired with the King MKII headphone amplifier “for a fully optimized listening experience.” The King MKII currently has special pricing available at $3,495 USD – a $1,000 USD savings off MSRP.
