CanJam at RMAF2016: That's a Wrap!
Ya know, regardless of all the hullabaloo about the Marriott being under construction during RMAF, I had a damned good time.
From my point of view, CanJam at RMAF is the most important headphone show in the United States in terms of industry product introductions. The Head-Fi.org CanJams in general are terrific shows, but RMAF is the longest running of the events, and headphone product makers wanting to get their wears in front of relevant enthusiast and press folk really shouldn't miss this show. For me, there's only two "must attend" events per year: CES and CanJam at RMAF.
So a big shout out to Marjorie Baumert, RMAF Show Director, and Jude Mansilla, Head-Fi.org Founder, despite the construction kerfuffle that was completely out of your control, you guys pulled off a terrific event.
Okie dokie, my reports are done. Want to know which reports I like to read? Actually it's the ones you guys write. In many ways it's not my job to be too critical of what I hear at a show...that would be irresponsible. But you guys? You're free to just speak your mind. If you're interested in what other enthusiasts make of the event, check out the CanJam@RMAF2016 impressions thread on Head-Fi.
If you want to get a feel for what the whole of the CanJam tent was like, check out this long but very complete video tour of the entire tent by Brian Hunter over at Audio-Head with yours truly right at the beginning.
See you next year, Denver!
