Having seen Astell & Kern at every show I've been to this past year it was hard to believe this was their first appearance at RMAF. Given the look and feel of their latest product, they seemed right at home here at CanJam.
Nope. Not going to do it. It might be the first time Cardas has exhibited at CanJam, but there's no way I'm going to call Andy Regan a n00b. In fact, Andy is quite the ambassador for headphones.
Man, if I had to do the entrepreneur thing all over again, I'd do a Kickstarter campaign. Gavin Fish did, and raised more than ten times his $28,000 goal.
His Geek Out USB headphone amp/DAC looks like it's off to a good start.
Making the trip over the big pond, Scottish firm Reid Heath Acoustics came to CanJam for the first time showing off their new MA600i and MA750i in-ear products.
When I started HeadRoom over twenty years ago and built the first portable headphone amplifier, I thought to myself, "When Sony builds a portable headphone amplifier my life will be justified."
So I'm walking around looking for n00bs to CanJam and see that Westone has some new IEMs. I sit down to take a load off...and pretty quick I'm wrapped up in the sound of Westone's new W40.
They're not n00bs, but I just had to pull out my camera.
