No lack of innovation in the headphone world: Torque introcuces a pretty snazzy way to make bass adjustable on their headphones.

CES 2015 was a little...no, a lot, weird for me this year. I've got one hell of a story to tell you when the time comes.

Welcome to the start of a wild ride.

Holy Cow! This is the first time I've heard a hybrid headphone that rocked!

Phew. What a weird year. Good stuff to be seen, though. I wonder what's next?

I got a pair of these in last year. They sounded fairly good...but the bling, oh my, it just kept me away from reviewing them.

My bad. I should be agnostic to those sorts of things.

Last year I got a sneak peak at the magnetic circuit used in these headphones. Brilliant I tell ya, just brilliant!

Audio Technica introduced three new cans emblazoned with "Hi-Res Audio-certified" badges. Interesting, but something else entirely caught my eye.

It's a big leap from building in-ear headphones to making over-ear headphones, but Audiofly is giving it a shot.

For me, this was the most anticipated product of the show. I had some mixed feelings, but we're a long way from any sort of final verdict.

Hi, I'm Tyll, and I'm a gizmoholic.

When I saw this at the Audio Plus Services booth I just had to know more.

So, I'm walking down the isle near the end of day one and Warren Chi grabs me by the shirt sleave and says, "Tyll, dude, you gotta come check these Echobox guys out!"

When Warren asks, I listen.

I've measured their A161P and it fared quite well. I recently reviewed their Air-Fi Matrix 2 AF61 low-cost Bluetooth headset and it rocked.

Why am I not surprised their first entry into higher-cost IEMs is so competent?

I have visited oBravo on at least four separate occasions over the last two years, and they have gotten better every time.

I have huge respect for Nelson Pass and the work he's done...especially his focus on DIY and enthusiasts learning electronics. If there's any one traditional high-end company I'd love to see making a headphone amp, it's Pass Labs.

That day is coming!
