San Diego based company 1More saw great success with their flagship Triple Driver IEMs ($99.99) and decided to add one more (!) balanced armature in creating their newest Quad Driver IEMs ($199.99), which will be released in late March.

While officially on assignment for Stereophile to help cover the 2017 Los Angeles Audio Show, Jana Dagdagan captured a few exhibitors she thought that might interest InnerFidelity readers. Here's her look at personal audio of interest at the inaugural Los Angeles Audio Show that took place last month.

I was immediately attracted to the NightOwls upon their release because of AudioQuest’s headphone designer Skylar Gray and his commitment to sustainable design.

Last month, I visited Ultimate Ears Pro in Irvine, California for a tour of their office/facility, and to finally try custom in-ears for the first time.

The customs that I ended up receiving (full disclosure: as a complimentary press sample) were the UE Pro Reference Remastered studio reference monitors ($999). They were developed in collaboration with Capitol Studios and house three balanced armature drivers.

Hi, InnerFidelity readers! My name is Jana, and I’ve been working with InnerFidelity, Stereophile, AudioStream, and Analog Planet for nearly a year now. This past weekend, I represented InnerFidelity for the very first time at CanJam NYC 2017. Here are a couple compilation videos I took while I was there.

Over the last six months, I’ve attended RMAF 2016, NYAS 2016, and CES 2017—consisting of predominantly traditional two-channel hi-fi systems and enthusiasts. While that can be enjoyable in its own way, I feel more at home in a room full of headphone enthusiasts. There’s less negativity, less pressure, less unspoken competition for the center seat, and most importantly, less sense of some bizarre imposed hierarchy. This drastic difference was immediately apparent as soon as I stepped foot into the bustling halls of the Marriott. (Over 2000 attendees!)

Echobox Audio is a young, IndieGoGo born company that was founded in late 2015. They had major presence at CanJam and seem to be steadily growing. This is what they showed at CanJam last week...

Last weekend, Final Audio Design (S’NEXT) showed their new flagship balanced armature IEM for the first time in the USA: the FI-BA-SST35 (3.5mm, $1249) or FI-BA-SST25 (2.5mm, $1279). The FI-BA-SST is the latest in the FI-BA-SS series and looks very similar to the FI-BA-SS3.

Chatting with Jana and listing out the review process really drove home just how complicated and how many discrete steps are involved. You'll notice I look down a lot in the video. It took about three pages of single line notes to detail all the steps in proper order.

I was thrilled to see Noble at CanJam because I wasn’t able to listen to the Kaiser Encore and Sage which were released last fall at RMAF 2016. Prior to CanJam, the last time anything Noble had graced my ears was the Noble 6 in late 2015. It had been far too long. Their current design concept combines colors and geometric textures in a way that creates, in my view, a very video-gamey look and feel.
